Utah American Indian Business Alliance

The Utah American Indian Business Alliance is the new name for the committee that plans the economic development portion of the Governor's and Lt. Governor's Annual Native American Summit. Due to the name change, this planning committee (formerly referred to as simply economic development committee), is similar to other state American Indian economic development bodies in other western states. In addition to planning for the economic development portion of the annual summit, this group is responsible for collaboration and sharing of information that is vital to improving economic development opportunities for Indian tribes throughout the state of Utah. Several tribal economic development directors, tribal planners, state and federal government representatives, and private businesses, presently serve on this important committee. The current chairperson of the AIBA is Jane Shock, Center for Community Development, American Express, 801-945-6605.
